ALLISON JOHNSTONE, B.A., J.D., LL.M.

Allison is an associate with the firm. Allison recently completed her Master of Laws (LL.M.) at Cornell Law School where she focused on human rights law and graduated with honours in 2017. During her time at Cornell Law, she was elected and served as the Secretary of the LL.M. Association.
Allison obtained her Juris Doctorate from the University of Windsor in 2016 where she received the highest grade in Criminal Law. During her legal studies, Allison worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Western Ontario for Professor Richard McLaren Q.C.. Allison assisted Professor McLaren with the highly controversial Dutee Chand decision, issued by the Court of Arbitration for Sport. Additionally, she assisted with Professor McLaren’s independent investigative report to the World-Anti Doping Agency (WADA) involving Russian athletes.
Prior to attending law school Allison obtained an Honors Specialization in World Religions and Cultures from the University of Western Ontario in 2012.
In her spare time, Allison enjoys skiing, scuba diving and boating with her family.
