MacKenzie Campbell is an associate at Johnstone & Cowling LLP. MacKenzie’s areas of practice include Commercial Litigation, Administrative Law, Regulatory Law, Police Disciplinary Cases, and Civil Litigation.
Mackenzie received his Bachelor of Arts (Honours) with a Legal Studies Option from Wilfrid Laurier University in 2012 and a Juris Doctor from the University of Western Ontario Faculty of Law in 2017. While in school MacKenzie honed his litigation skills by appearing in several moot trials and was regularly in the top of his class in those competitions. As a consequence of being a finalist in a Western moot, MacKenzie was chosen to represent the school in a competition against the other Ontario law schools, the Arnup Cup, held yearly in Toronto.
MacKenzie began his legal career as an Assistant Crown Attorney practising Criminal Law as a Criminal Prosecutor for the Ministry of the Attorney General. In his career as a criminal prosecutor MacKenzie was in court on a daily basis and participated in Judicial Pre-trials, Bail Hearings, Bail Reviews, Preliminary Inquiries and numerous Trials. MacKenzie appeared before the Provincial Offences Court, the Ontario Court of Justice and Ontario Superior Court of Justice.
MacKenzie gained invaluable litigation experience from his time as an Assistant Crown Attorney and has now appeared before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, Provincial Offences Court and the Assessment Review Board in civil matters.
