George M. Daoud is an associate lawyer with Johnstone & Cowling, LLP. George practices property assessment appeals, appellate litigation, police services prosecutions, commercial and civil litigation as well as employment and management labour.

George obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology from York University, a Bachelor of Laws and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Birmingham, and is completing a Doctor of Philosophy in International Financial Law, Fintech, Counter-Terrorist Financing and Anti-Money Laundering at the University of London, Institute of Advanced Legal Studies, an exclusive Doctoral legal research institute (IALS). At IALS, George holds four positions: Scholar at The Centre for Financial Law, Regulation & Compliance, Deputy Editor – Board Member of the Doctoral Law Journal, Ph.D. Student Representative and Council Member on the School of Advanced Study IALS Advisory Council.  

Before law school, George served as a Protection Officer with Toronto Community Housing. Similarly, he attained experience in professional consulting and policy analysis during his tenure as a consultant and advisor to Fintech and International organizations.  

George has been elected to the Ontario Bar Association where he serves as a Council Member and Regional Representative for the Central-West Region, a Board Director at Hamilton HIVE, and is an Advisor on the Advisory Council for the Harvard Business Review.  

George’s problem-solving methodology is a bigger-picture approach, reinforced by his dedication and commitment to client service and efficiency-based results.
